Gionee has announced its latest Flagship smartphone in ‘S” series, the Gionee Elife S8 at MWC 2016 event in Barcelona. It comes with 3D touch display that can distinguish between three levels of Force just like Apple 3D Touch and users can also use multiple Whatsapp and WeChat accounts on one device.


It boasts a Full-metal body with 5.5-inch full HD 1080p AMOLED display with pressure sensitive 3D touch and is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 4. It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with heavily customised Amigo UI 3.2 on top of it and comes with fingerprint sensor.

It is powered by Octa-Core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755) 64-bit processor clocked at 1.95GHz with Mali-T860 GPU, coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, that can be expanded up to 128GB with microSD. On the camera front it has a 16MP rear camera with f/1.8 aperture, PDAF, Laser auto focus and LED Flash and a 8MP front-facing camera. This is a dual SIM handset with Voice-Over LTE (VoLTE), and 4G LTE support.


Other connectivity features includes 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac/a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS support. It is powered by 3000 mAh battery with fast charging support. Handset is 7mm thick and weight is 147grams.

The Gionee Elife S8 comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Grey colors and is priced at €449 ($495). It is expected to be available from the end of March 2016.

Gionee has launched the Gionee S6 smartphone in India. It features a 6.9mm slim full metal unibody designed body. It has USB Type-C port and a 5.5-inch 720p Super AMOLED dispay with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection.

Octa-Core MediaTek MT653 processor clocked at 1.3 GHz powers the device coupled with 3GB RAM and 32GB onboard storage that can be further expanded up to 128GB via microSD.
It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Amigo UI 3.1 runs on top of it. It has a 13-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. There is Hybrid Dual SIM support with 4G LTE, WiFI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio and GPS. It packs a 3150 mAh battery, weight with battery is 148g.

The Gionee S6 comes in Gold, Rose Gold and Silver colors and is exclusively from Flipkart.com priced at Rs. 19,999.

Gionne has launched the P5W, the company’s new budget smartphone in India. It sports a 5-inch (720*1280 pixels) HD display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 Quad Core SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable with microSD card and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

The smartphone is 8.9mm thick and weight with battery is 153g. It also has USB OTG support. It packs a 2000 mAh battery.

The Gionee P5W comes in various colors including White, Black Red, Blue and Yellow color options and is priced at Rs. 6,499.

Gionee has today launched the Marathon M5 Lite, the latest phone in Company's Marathon series. It sports a 5-inch 720p HD display with Asahi Dragon Trail Glass protection.

The Gionee Marathon M5 Lite comes in Golden Color and is priced at Rs. 12,999. It is now available from offline retail stores and official Gionee store.
