HTC has launched Desire 626 Dual SIM smartphone in Desire series in India. It packs a 5-inch (720*1280 pixles) HD display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

It is powered by a 64-bit 1.7 GHz MediaTek MT6752 Octa-Core processor with Mali T760 GPU, coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB with microSD.
It has a 13MP rear camera with LED Flash, f/2.2 aperture, Full HD video recording and a 5MP front-facing shooter that can record videos at FHD 1080p resolution. It is  a dual SIM with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-FI 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. There are dual front-facing stereo speakers that gives enhanced audio experience to user. A 2000 mAh battery powers the device.

The HTC Desire 626 Dual SIM comes in White Birch and Blue Lagoon colors and will be available from all leading online stores in coming days priced at Rs. 14,990.

HTC One M8

HTC's VP of Product and Management,  Mo Versi has confirmed on Twitter that the T-Mobile subscribers using the HTC One M8 could start receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update from January 25th. He said that the update is still in the lab, Our target is 1/25.  That means the Marshmallow update will start rolling out to HTC One M8 from Next Friday.

The HTC One M8 was originally launched back in March 2014 running Android 4.4 Kitkat. Since then the smartphone has been updated to Android 5.0 Lollipop and will be now update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow which brings new permission manager, Google Now on Tap and Doze mode, which extends the batter life of your phone by putting it in a deep sleep mode while screen is off.

Before starting the upgrade process connect your HTC One M8 to a Wi-Fi network and make sure to charge the device at least 50%, so the upgrade doesn't interrupts.

HTC Vive VR Headset

HTC's Virtual Reality (VR) headset, the HTC Vive,  will be available for pre-orders starting 29th February.  HTC's Co-founder and CEO Cher Wang says the company is focusing on Virtual Reality and away from smartphones. According to him, HTC is now more realistic.  HTC had also launched revised developer kit at CES 2016 for Vive VR that includes the front-facing camera that can add a dose of reality to Vive VR headset.

Cher Wang said in a statement that Pre-orders will start from February 29th and these Pre-orders will be shipped in April. He added:

" Yes smartphones are important,  but to create a natural extension to other connected devices like wearables and Virtual Reality is more important...I think
the problem was competition – Apple, Xiaomi, these companies spend tons of money on communications and marketing, they pump a huge amount of investment into the market. There are a lot of Chinese competitors."

HTC has partnered with Valve,  a video game developer company which uses Valve's steam VR technology and are continuing to work with other innovative companies to create contents like gaming,  entertainment, medical and education.

HTC has not announced any details about pricing. The release of HTC Vive's comes after Oculus Rift VR headset,  which is priced at $599 and will ship in March.
