Samsung Mobiles at the Galaxy Unpacked event 2016 has unveiled their latest flagship smartphones the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Both these will be powered by either Samsung Exynos 8890 or Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor (depends region), has IP68 certification and comes with heart-rate sensor.

Samsung Galaxy S7

The Galaxy S7 sports a 5.1-inch (2560*1440 pixels) resolution Super AMOLED Always on display with pressure sensitive technology. It will be powered by either Snapdragon 820 processor or Samsung Exynos 8890 processor that depends upon market. The Snapdragon variant packs Kyro quad-core Snapdragon 820 processor with Adreno 530 GPU and Exynos 8890 quad-core processor with Mali-T880 GPU.

Both these smartphones features 12MP rear camera with f/1.7 aperture, PDAF, OIS and LED Flash and a 5MP front-facing camera with f/1.7 aperture. Having f/1.7 aperture the cameras should be able to take excellent shots in low light conditions.  There is 4GB RAM and 32/64GB internal storage with up to 200GB microSD support.

Samsung Galaxy S7

The S7 packs a 3000 mAh battery with wireless and fast-charging support. This dual SIM smartphone has 4G LTE support, other connectivity features includes 3G HSPA+, NFC, GPS, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, and Bluetooth 4.2. Handset is 7.9mm thick and weight is 152g, it also comes with  Fingerprint sensor for more added security and runs on Android Marshmallow out of the box.

The Galaxy S7 edge  sports a bigger 5.5-inch dual-curved QHD Super AMOLED Display with Always On technology and is powered Snapdragon 820 or Exynos 8890 processors, coupled with 4GB RAM, 32GB/64GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 200GB with microSD and runs on Android Marshmallow.

Camera is also same as the Galaxy S7- 12-megapixel rear and 5-megapixel up front. This is a dual SIM handset with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, WiFi, NFC, heart rate sensor and Fingerprint sensor. It is 7.7mm thick and weight is 157grams. This handset gets power from a 3600 mAh battery with wireless fast charging support.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge comes in Gold, Silver, White and Black colors and will be available starting March 1st 2016 in select countries


Samsung Galaxy J5

Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) with model number SM-J510X has been recently spotted on GFXBench revealing specifications & features of the handset.

According to GFXBench listing,  Samsung Galaxy J5 (2016) packs a 5.2-inch (720×1280 pixels) HD display with 5 point multi touch support. It comes equipped with a 13-megapixel rear camera that can record videos at Full HD resolution and 5-megapixel front facing camera.

It is powered by 64-bit Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor clocked at 1.2 GHz with Adreno 306 GPU and is paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. Samsung should launch the Galaxy J5 (2016) very soon.

Samsung has finally launched the much awaited Samsung Galaxy Note5 in India. This is the dual SIM variant of Galaxy Note 5, which was originally launched in India last year. This handset comes with dual nano SIM slots. Samsung Galaxy Note 5 32GB version is priced at Rs. 51,400 & 64GB version is priced at Rs. 57,000.

It has same set of specifications and feature as seen on Galaxy Note 5 single SIM. The Galaxy Note packs 64-bit Exynos 7420 Octa-Core processor under the hood with 4GB RAM and 32GB, 64GB internal storage. It sports a 5.7-inch QHD (1440*2560 pixels) Super AMOLED dual edge curved display and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop with Samsung's own TouchWiz UI.

Samsung Galaxy Note5


It has a 16-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front facing camera. It also has a Fingeprint sensor and Heart rate sensor. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Dual comes with Dual SIM with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2 and NFC and gets power from a 3000 mAh battery with Fast Charging support.

The Samsung Galaxy Note5 Dual comes in Black, Silver and Gold colors and is priced at Rs. 51,400 for the 32GB version and 57,400 for the 64GB variant.

Samsung has launched the Galaxy J1 2016, successor of last year's Galaxy J1 in UAE.

It sports a 4.5-inch WVGA Super AMOLED display and is powered by 1.3 GHz Quad Core Exynos 3475 processor with Mali-T720 GPU. It packs 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage. It has 5-megapixel rear camera with LED flash and 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on Android Lollipop.  This dual SIM device comes with 4G LTE,  3G HSPA+, Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi and GPS support. This smartphone gets power from a 2050 mAh battery.

The Samsung Galaxy J1 (2016) comes in Gold,  White and Black color options and is available in UAE priced at AED 499 (Rs. 9080).

Since launch of Galaxy S6, Samsung Galaxy S7 has been leaked several times.  Now the Samsung Galaxy S7 is surfaced on AnTuTu Benchmark website.

The Samsung Galaxy S7 has been spotted on AnTuTu Benchmark website with the model number- SM-G935A. As per AnTuTu Benchmark the Galaxy S7 will sport a 5.1-inch WQHD (1440×2560 pixels)  display and is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage.  The smartphone is said to be equipped with a 12-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front facing camera.  It runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with Touch wiz UI on top of it.

It will feature similar design as Samsung used in Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge handsets. While Samsung has not announced any details about its launch,  it could be unveiled at MWC 2016 in Barcelona or before this event.
