The specification of the 15.6 inch model has surfaced earlier and according to leaked specs, the notebook will sport a 15.6 inch 1080p display, will be powered by Intel's Core i7 4th gen Soc, coupled  with 8 GB RAM. Nvidia GeForce GTX 760M GPU will be included and Linux will be pre installed as primary OS. For all those specs the laptop will cost relatively low price only 2,999 Yuan (466$). In order to keep the price low, Xiaomi is going to use Core i7 Soc from older 4th Gen Haswell series as compared to newer 6th gen Slylake chips. The Nvidia GeForce GPU is also not the newest, it was released back in 2013.
But older CPU doesn't mean not powerful , this SoC is also quite powerful and same can be said for the GPU. Xiaomi had done this simply to keep prices low. It is also rumored that Linux will be pre-installed as primary OS and will avoid WINDOWS because of licensing fees which would increase the price of the product.
