Nvidia Shield tablet K1 is receiving Android 6.0 Marshmallow update

As promised, Nvidia has pushing out Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Nvidia Shield K1. The latest software version is 1.0

This tablet has similar specifications as original Nvidia Shield. It sports a 8-inch FHD 1080p display and it is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra K1 quad core 64 bit CPU clocked at 2.2 GHz with 192 core Kepler GPU. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded via a Micro SD slot.  The tablet was running on Android 5.0 Lollipop, but as you all know now it has got Android 6.0 update. The latest update size is 665MB and it brings a lot of improvements and changes to the tablet. Android Marshmallow brings new features to this tablet such as Google Now on Tap, Adoptable Storage - you can integrate MicroSD card with main internal storage, improved app permissions.

If you haven't got update notification then don't worry the update is rolling out in stages, so it can take time to the update to reach your tablet.
