Huawei was responsible for 7.4% of the global smartphone shipments last quarter. Huawei posted on its weibo page today that they have shipped 100 million smartphones in 2015 so far.
That's a record for this company, and now it comes behind Samsung and Apple in the top three most prolific phone makers. Huawei has mostly achieved this goal by selling its $500 phones like Huawei P8 and Mate S, but this is still very impressive considering more Chinese brands like Xiaomi and Meizu are its top competitors in Huawei's home country China. Huawei has also started selling its Honor brand in Europe and if rumors are to be believed Huawei is coming in the US market very soon.
