Celkon CT111

Celkon has launched CT111, the company’s latest budget tablet priced at RS. 2999. It  packs a 7-inch (800*480 pixels) WVGA display and is powered by a quad-core processor clocked at 1.3 GHz.

This is a Wi-Fi enabled tablet and doesn’t comes with SIM slots. There are 2MP rear and front-facing cameras used on the tablet. It runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and comes with USB OTG (On the Go) Support. Users can use 3G via Dongle, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n is supported. This tablet gets power from a 2500 mAh battery.

No details about internal storage and RAM. The Celkon CT111 is priced at Rs. 2,999 and will be available though offline retail stores and Amazon.in across India.

NVIDIA is pushing out Android Marshmallow update to Shield Tablet. The update is released under 4.0 version and brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the tablet. The update brings system fixes and other features of Android Marshmallow, like Doze Battery Mode, New system permissions settings, Google Now On Tap.

The NVIDIA Shield tablet was originally launched in 2014, July. It’s most highlighting feature was the processor used in this tablet, the 2.2 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 with GeForce Kepler (192 cores) GPU.
The tablet packs a 8.0-inch full HD display and has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable with microSD. It has a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE, dual band (2.4GHz/5GHz) Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The update comes with 2016, January security patches, Shield camera app has new material design UI. The update is live for both Wi-Fi and LTE versions all over world. But it might take some time to reach the update to your device.

Dell had introduced Venue 8 Pro Windows 8.1 tablet in 2014, the company has now launched the Windows 10 version of the tablet with improved specifications.

The Dell Venue 8 Pro (Windows 10 version) sports a 8-inch full HD display and is powered by an Intel Atom Z8500 SoC clocked at 2.24 GHz, coupled with 4GB of RAM and 64GB internal storage,  expandable storage up to 128GB with microSD card. It runs on Windows 10.

Micromax has today launched a new tablet in Micromax Fun Series, the Micromax F666. It sports a 7-inch (6.98-inch) touchscreen HD (1280*720 pixels) display, Quad Core MediaTek MT8382W/M processor clocked at 1.3 GHz is under the hood with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB using a miroSD.

The tablet has voice-calling capabilities, Dual SIM 3G WCDMA and 2G are supported. The tablet packs a 8-megapixel rear camera that can record HD videos, LED flash and a 2-megapixel front-facing camera. It runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop.

Other features includes Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n , GPS, Bluetooth 4.0 and a USB 2.0 port. Dimensions are 99.8*190*9.7mm and weight with battery is 265g. The tablet gets power from a 3000 mAh battery.

The tablet comes in Grey color and is exclusively available for Rs. 8,199 from Flipkart.com.

iBall Slide 3G

iBall has launched the Slide 3G Q81, the company's latest Android tablet in Slide series.

It sports a 8-inch HD display and is powered by Intel Atom x3 quad core 64-bit processor clocked at 1GHz.  It has Voice calling and 3G support. It has 5-megapixel Camera on back and a 2-megapixel front facing camera. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage, expandable via microSD up to 64GB and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

Other features includes Wi-Fi,  Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG support. It is packed with a 4000 mAh battery.

The iBall Slide 3G Q81 comes in Blue color and is available online and offline retail stores for Rs. 7,999.

iBall has  launched a new Tablet, the Cuddle 4G. It sports a 6.95-inch (1024×600) display which is almost 7-inch.

Acer has launched Iconia One B1-850 Tablet, the company's latest Tablet in Iconia Series. It sports a 8-inch 1280×800 pixels HD display.

It is powered by a Quad Core processor by MediaTek coupled with 1GB RAM, 16GB internal storage, expandable storage via microSD. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop. It has a 5-megapixel camera on back and 2- megapixel front facing camera. The tablet does not comes with SIM slot. It also has kids center for filtered contents for kids and parental control feature which can be used for set contents for kids and Daily usage time limit.

Other features are Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS and Bluetooth 4.0 and it takes power from a 4600 mAh battery which promises up to 9 hours of battery life.

The Acer Iconia One 8 comes in White and Blue color options and will be available in North America starting in February for $99.99

Alcatel OneTouch has revealed four new smartphones in Pixi 4 series. The series includes 3.5-inch and a 4-inch smartphone, a 6-inch Phablet and a 7-inch Tablet. While Company did not revealed the specs outside of screen sizes.

Alcatel OneTouch calls them "premium entey-level devices". Alcatel says that the series offers the best feature and design in low-end mobile and tablet market. The company says that these devices offers superior camera and battery life.
Besides these devices there is one more Tablet the Alcatel One Touch Pixi 3 and CareTime Children's Watch .

The Pixi 3 comes with a 8-inch display and runs on Windows 10 Mobile & CareTime watch has 2G connectivity. Parents can call their kids and can send  voice messages for their kids. The kids can call using 5 registered phone numbers and can answer calls from 10 preset contacts. The watch also allows parents to set up " safe zone" feature. When a child leaves the safe zone, the watch immediately notifies  their parents.

Jolla started its journey by funding of Jolla Tablet back in 2014 via Indiegogo campaign, the campaign was started in November 2014 bringing more than $2.5 milion from 21,637 backers.

 Jolla says that the first small batch of Tablets were shipped to some backers around October 2015. Then they had some serious funding issue and they were forced to postpone the whole project schedule many times.

According to Jolla, they  faced  serious financial challenge in November and December. Now that they have received some new financial backing  and their financial situation has been improved so they can get back to Normal Operations. Now Jolla said that it will ship an additional small batch of Jolla Tablet in January 2016.

Jolla's Representative stated that:
"The bad news here is that we are not able to complete the production to fulfill all contributions. In other words, all of our backers will not get a Jolla Tablet. However, you can be sure you will not end up empty handed. We might even have some positive surprises in stock for you. But more on that will follow, feel free to
speculate!
