STK better known for it's mobile accessories has launched its first action camera called the Explorer. The STK Explorer comes bundled with 19 accessories, and in a waterproof case for using it underwater. This camera is using a 12 mega-pixel  lens that can record videos at full HD resolution with 170 degree wide angle 6G lens.

It can capture 3 photos in just 1.5 seconds thanks to burst mode and can also shoot Time lapse to capture videos at a set of intervals. It comes with 19 accessories that includes a variety of mounting options, handlebars, mount and more.  As mentioned earlier the camera supports Wi-Fi to share videos and images instantly with the mobile app that is available for Android and iOS users. There is a viewfinder to view live stream from the camera, you can even start and stop recording from the app.

It packs a 900 mAh battery and will be available soon in India for Rs. 12,499.


As Xiaomi Mi5 is scheduled to be launched on 24th February, we are seeing new information about this device every day.
First Xiaomi's Senior VP Liwan Jiang confirmed that the device will be launched on February 24th at a media event, now Xiaomi VP Hugo Barra has, confirmed three most important features of the device- Display resolution, NFC and Dual-SIM connectivity. He posted a screenshot of his Mi5’s homescreen on twitter and asked peoples to check what is new. He posted- “Here’s a little sneak preview of my #Mi5 home screen. Spot anything new? As seen on image, the smartphone will have NFC support, watch at  the right side after NFC logo you will find the Dual SIM network that means the smartphone will come with dual SIM card slots, which confirms previous rumors for the NFC and Dual SIM Connectivity. The screenshot shared by Hugo Barra is 1920*1080 pixels, which confirms at least one variant of the handset will have a 1080p display. The premium version of  Mi5 is expected to feature a 2K  resolution QHD display. As per the leaks, it will be powered by Snapdragon  820 processor.

The Mi5 will be available in two variants one with metal back and a 1080p full HD display, paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage, the premium version will have a glass back and a 2K QHD display with 4GB RAM and 32GB and 64GB of onboard storage.
Both variants will be equipped with a 16MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 8MP front-facing shooter, will be running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow with MIUIv7 and a 3600 mAh battery with fast charging support. The smartphone is also rumored to be available as a Windows 10 Mobile variant as well.

NVIDIA is pushing out Android Marshmallow update to Shield Tablet. The update is released under 4.0 version and brings Android 6.0 Marshmallow to the tablet. The update brings system fixes and other features of Android Marshmallow, like Doze Battery Mode, New system permissions settings, Google Now On Tap.

The NVIDIA Shield tablet was originally launched in 2014, July. It’s most highlighting feature was the processor used in this tablet, the 2.2 GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra K1 with GeForce Kepler (192 cores) GPU.
The tablet packs a 8.0-inch full HD display and has 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable with microSD. It has a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera. It has 4G LTE, dual band (2.4GHz/5GHz) Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS.
The update comes with 2016, January security patches, Shield camera app has new material design UI. The update is live for both Wi-Fi and LTE versions all over world. But it might take some time to reach the update to your device.

iBall has launched the Cobalt 5.5F Youva, the company’s latest smartphone in cobalt series. As the name suggests, it sports a 5.5-inch 720p fully laminated HD display and runs on Android 5.1 Lolipop. It comes with 21 Indian languages support, and is powered by a 64-bit Quad Core MediaTek MT6735 processor clocked at 1GHz with Mali-T720 GPU to take care of graphics.

It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, can be further expanded up to 32GB via microSD. It has a 8MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front-facing shooter. It has dual SIM support with 4G LTE, 3G HSPA+, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS. This dual SIM smartphone gets power from a 2600 mAh battery.

The iBall Cobalt 5.5F Youva comes in Blue color and is priced at Rs. 8,999 in India.

Gionne has launched the P5W, the company’s new budget smartphone in India. It sports a 5-inch (720*1280 pixels) HD display and is powered by a MediaTek MT6735 Quad Core SoC clocked at 1.3 GHz with Mali-T720 GPU. It has 1GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable with microSD card and runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop.

It comes with a 5-megapixel rear camera with LED Flash and a 2-megapixel front shooter. The Gionee P5W has dual SIM support with 3G HSPA+, 2G, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0 and GPS connectivity. The smartphone is 8.9mm thick and weight with battery is 153g. It also has USB OTG support. It packs a 2000 mAh battery.

The Gionee P5W comes in various colors including White, Black Red, Blue and Yellow color options and is priced at Rs. 6,499.



Micromax has unveiled a new smartphone in Juice series, called the Juice 4. The smartphone is silently listed on Company’s Website, while Micromax has not officially announced this smartphone.

The Juice 4 comes loaded with a 3000 mAh battery which gives 11 hours talktime and 385 hours standby time, as per listing on the website. It boasts a 1.3 GHz Quad Core Spreadtrum SC7731 with 1GB RAM and 8GB onboard storage, that can be further expanded up to 32GB with microSD card. On the software side it runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop out of the box.

It sports a 5-inch FWVGA (480×854 pixels) display. On the Photography front, this handset features a 5MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2MP front-facing camera. This is a Dual-SIM handset with 3G, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi and GPS support.

Pricing and availability of this smartphone has not been disclosed yet. The Micromax Canvas 4 comes in Black color and will be launched soon.


OPPO is latest Smartphone maker to join the 'Make in India' initiative, announced by P.M. Modi to kickstart Smartphone manufacturing in India.
OPPO has announced that it will invest Rs. 100 Crore to Start its own manufacturing assembly in India by August, 2016.

“We have long term plan for India, We will invest Rs. 100 crore to kickstart our mobile manufacturing unit by August this year. He further explained that OPPO has already started its mobile handset production in India at the Foxconn’s plant.  He said that the company is looking at producing 10 million handset units per year in India at its own plant and continue its relationship with Foxconn as well. The company had announced last year in May that it is planning to setup an assembly plant in the country.”

Microsoft has officially unveiled the Nokia 230 and 230 Dual SIM feature phones. This is a selfie focused feature phone with 2-megapixel camera on both sides with LED Flash.

Vivo has officially launched the Y51L smartphone in India. It sports a 5-inch qHD display and is powered by  1.2 GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 410 processor with Adreno 306 GPU and is coupled with 2GB RAM and 16GB internal storage, expandable up to 128GB with microSD.

Huawei has launched the Honor 5X smartphone in India in Honor series. It is the succesor of Honor 4X that was launched in India last year.
