LeTv Le Max Pro officially announced as World's first Smartphone to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 and first with Sense ID

Qualcomm at its CES event in Las Vegas, has announced that the LeTv Le Max Pro is the first smartphone to come equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 Quad Core Kyro processor  with Adreno 530 GPU.

There is no word on when this device will be released, but it is expected that LeTv will start selling this handset in the first half of this year.

This handset is also the first to come with Qualcomm's Sense ID- it is ultrasonic-based fingerprint biometric authentication tech. Qualcomm said that it is more secure and reliable than other capacitive based fingerprint technologies in the market currently used by other smartphone makers. The fingerprint module in LeTv Le Max Pro is placed just below the camera.

This handset is powered by Qualcomm Quick Charge 2.0 and has super fast LTE cat12 modem and fast multi band Wi-Fi 802.11ad wireless connectivity. This handset sports a 6.33-inch Quad HD (1440×2440) pixels display and runs on EUI based on Android Lollipop. There is 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It has a 21 mega-pixel rear camera with LED flash and a 4MP front facing camera.

There is no word about availability and pricing, but LeTv is expected to launch this smartphone in first half of 2016
