After releasing several teasers, Xiaomi has finally launched the Redmi 3. It is priced at only 699 Yuan (Rs. 7,100). Despite the low price tag, the Xiaomi Redmi 3 sports a full-metal body and a uniquely patterned back.
The Redmi 3 has a 5-inch HD display with (720*1280) pixels. It is powered by a Snapdragon 616 octa-core processor coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB internal storage which can be expanded via a microSD card. Unlike Redmi 2 this one features a Hybrid dual-SIM card slot which means you can use two SIM cards or One SIM card and a microSD at a single time.
In the photography compartment, the Redmi 3 is paired with a 13-megapixel rear camera with Phase Detection Autofocus (PDAF) and a LED flash, while there is a 5-megapixel camera on front side. It gets power from a 4100 mAh battery. The Redmi 3 runs on MIUI 7, android version is not specified but if it runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow then the built in Doze mode will surely help users to save battery and help users to put off charging the device for even longer than usual.
The Redmi 3 is available in White, Grey and Gold color variants and priced at 699 Yuan ($106) going on sale in China Tomorrow. There is however no word on when it could launch in India and other markets.
